Grey Knights rock. They are expensive as all hell, but they rock. This thread is about wargamer's stories of instances in which Grey knights have really kicked ass against overwhelming odds.. I don't mean-"Yeah, one day I played some Tyranids and I won."I mean-"And so my lone Grey knight took down the Carnifex, hitting and wounding with all 3 power weapon attacks, and the carnifex didn't put a scratch on him". That's a war story. Well, I'll get it started.
-A lone justicar wiped out an entire squad of Necron bug swarms.
- A Justicar and A PAGK defeated a near full strength necron warrior unit, and sent them running, then consolidated into another squad of warriors, and made them flee the next turn.
- A Grandmaster withstood the fire of 3 eldar jetbikes (That's 18 shots a turn) for two turns, then charged into them, destroying two, and the other one retreated.
-Against Orks, a warbuggy came screaming around the corner of a building, intent on decimating my unit of I.S.T hiding in a building, and the very first shot I took with my seargeant's plasma pistol penetrated, and got a 6 on the table. BOOM!
-A Vindicare Assasin blew up a chimera, and disabled a Leeman Russ' turet in the first 2 turns.
-A PAGK with an incinerator killed an Eldar Farseer, and caught the rear armour of a wave serpent, blowing it up and wounding the Fire Dragons inside.
That's enough of my stories, I'd greatly appreciate hearing other people's stories as well.

I have a war story...but it's not Grey Knights. Sorry.
Oooh, ooh, sorry, have got one: Grand Master wipes out the entire Shaper's Council when they charged him. It just wasn't me playing. It was a friend's match. But it was teh aw3som3.
My minimal stand-and-shoot squad of 5 GK with 2 psycannons (I uses it like a purgation squad, but I don't have the heavy slot for a real one) Got assaulted by deep striking lictors. I let the psycannons die first (they had already helped kill the Hive tyrant, had no other really good targets besides masses of hormagaunts). The two lictors died in two turns. A justicar and a reg GK were left. They then got assaulted by about ten Hormagaunts. They mostly died, the rest ran away off the table.
Two men still standing at the end, outta a five men squad that only had 3 NFW in it.
While I was away one of my friends was using my GK, along with a tau player, fighting crons and orks. He deepstruck the termies and they scattered 2 inches in front of the necron/ork firing line. Now, I wasn't there, but all 4 of my friends were talking about it, how the Termies took over a hundred (literally) shots and not a single one died. Turn after that the Nightbringer wiped em out, but the hail of fire didn't scratch em, was really cool to hear. Too bad I can't roll like that.
One squad of Grey Knights (7 and a Justicar, nothing special) took out most of a Flesh Tearer (Blood Angel succesor) force by itself. First that squad and another GK squad assaulted the Death Company. A few had died to fire, so there were 7 left, plus the chaplain. I rolled for one squad first, they killed all but two death company, who were killed by the second squad's justicar. Next assault phase they killed the chaplain, the squads massacred in slightly different directions. A dreadnought popped a rhino, one squad of GKs charged the squad of 8 that got out, killed them all, masacred, assaulted another squad of 8, killed them all, massacred into another squad of 8, killed all but 2, who fell back. The squad of Gk was now down to a Justicar, who was killed by one of the survivors who had a melta gun. The other squad that had been involved in the fight against the death company took down a death company dreadnought with psycannons. Thanks to the exploits of these two squads, my terminator command squad (all 500 points of them) and another squad of GK were able to just stand in the middle of the table all game (take and hold mission.)
So, kill tally for the one squad:
6 Death Company (and maybe one or two from shooting)
Kill Tally for the Grand Master and terminators:
Maybe a couple of storm bolter kills, not sure. They weren't needed.
This all cost well over twice the points of this squad of GK.
This battle happened last week, so fresh on my mind.
There's an angel on my shoulder, in my hand a sword of gold.
I used "wrongful" Dsing tatics, and Dsed my grandmaster in the middle of the field, he withstood bolter fire and heavy bolters fire from thousands sons and uh, an ordinary choas undivided for 3 turns straight! No wounds at all, shrouding-please that didnt work, it was about 18 units (2 squads just hamering away for 3 turns-some of them rapid fireing). When my PAGK came close my oppenent just ingnored my GM and started shootin at those(killed 3)-it was a 5 man squad. ANyway while I was finishing his choas undivided, there was only one jabroni left I need to make 2 more attacks, that ONE lone choas soldier WOUNDED my GM(in CC), something 2 squads couldnt do.
P.S. Grey Knights in power armor are well worth their points, its the justicars that should be persecuted

Justicars are completely worth the points. They may be expensive, but think about this. Almost all, if not all, veteran sergeant-type characters cost twice the cost of the standard trooper, usually without any additional weapon upgrades.

I just think they shoudnt cost more than a terminator
Ironically, justicars aren't the best "hidden powerfists" either, due to the fact that their limited to the weapons they already have. They should at least be able to upgrade to a thunder hammer for say, 10 points.
My game was going terribly against the Imperial Guard. He still had a leman russ, a Demolisher, and Basilisk. Things were looking desperate, because just about everything on my side was dead, except my yet to be DSed GKT. They landed next to a demolisher. The demolisher whiffed, and the GKT tore it and an IG command squad to pieces.
