I am coming to a decision for my next army and i can't decide. My friend tells me that white scars are good for bikes, like they have a 12" assault range or something. However, the ravenwing gets its master. (He's still good even though hes not on a bike.)
I was wondering if anyone would like to share their knowledge on what else the white scars have, since all i know is what i said before, the 12" assault range. Either that or point me in a direction to where i can find them. Also, which would you do? Ravenwing or White Scars.

Ravenwing has bikes as troops only, while white scars can use them as fast attack as well, if I'm not mistaking... Ravenwing has speeders as fast units, and attack bikes as a heavy support choise. I don't know the rules for the white scars by heart, but I recon they can use more bikes...

Ravenwing use better Bikes as troops and LST's as fast, attack bikes as heavy.
White Scars used to have cool rules, like 2 c.c weapons for every biker and counter attack, now they are simply trait vanilla marines. They can take Bikers with furious charge as elites.

I used to play white scars, unfortunately they were horribly nerfed with the new codex. They are simply a Be swiftt as the wind army with a poor second traight. I would advice against playing white scars. A DIY chapter with BE swiftt as the wind would be better. And no, they have never been able to charge 12".
This is my suggestion and also my personal army. LST's happen to be my favorite unit and are IMHO the best unit at supporting bikers. You pay a premium for ravenwing bikes however as they have the Skilled Rider ability and a 6+ invulnerable jink save. Still, this does tend to keep them alive longer. Ravenwing definately trumps white scars and as far as I know, are the only army that has a standard vehicle with an invulnerable save (Go Ravenwing LST's!!!!)

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
