    he seems cool
and after playing winter assualt i want an ogyrn in my army but reg ogryns suck(or so ive been told)
I think he is at best a cool addition that will help at cc
and at worst a waste of pts cause he gets hit with a rockit and dies
    so what are your opinions

I was thinking about him as well.

If anything it would be fun just to model him

If you keep him in the Command squad he should be safe from enemy fire. and unless you get in CC w/ a hiddenpowefirst or a big MC he should at least eat a few wounds.

He at leasts adds a lil flare.

I wouldnt say he's not worth it. If you got some spare points, throw him in there to give your HQ a bit more punch in hth and your commander a bit more survivability...just gotta watch out for power fists.

His ability to jump in the place of your commander is nice. Since he's not an independent character he cant be picked out in hth. The fact that he doesnt use up an HQ slot is nice too.

Anyways, he's not bad to have around (its better than not having him around), but I personally would just rather spend those points on a ratling squad or some more heavy weapons.

Nork is awesome. Remember not every thing has powerfists so it isn't that much of a problem. For 55 points you get pretty much the most guarding that any body guard will give you. You also get an even better than normal ogryn who adds 3 wounds to your comander. The thing is that even if he would be instant killed, the commander also would have been instant killed and Nork knocks up the bar by +2 strength.

That is a very good point. Also, compared to other HQ add-ons (ahem, commissars), he's a great buy.

Well Nork was from the Old IG Codex, where the 'Ogryn Proof' rule was not in place, and the stats say "This character must be used exactly blah blah" So im guessing not.
I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a straight razor. That's my dream. That's my nightmare. Crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight... razor... and surviving.

Yes it does because the ripper gun has the ability when held by an ogryn. They are the only ones who have it which is why it is under the ogryn stats. Since Nork has the ripper gun and is an Ogyn he has it. I'ts not using him differently or giving him other equipment, it is using his gun as it is supposed to be used.

Oh and I was talking about the strength needed to instant kill Nork.
