I just have to find this out. What is so fluffy about Dark Angels and their association with plasma weapons? I dont see how it is so fluffy? Like what happened that made the Dark Angels develop this"fluffyness" towards plasma???
Are DA plasma weapons in any way less expensive than regular? i own several, and play a DA army, but am dissapointed by their cost.
But plasma isnt the only ancient and revered weapon out there so why do they choose the plasma weapons over others?
Well they also happen to have an entire company in terminator armor. There is an ancient and revered weapon for ya, and you can play your entire army with terminators and land raiders. Its just that people dont know that becuase they think deathwing not dark angels deathwing. So they have more than just 1 revered weapon.
Back from a long adventure.
They take Plasma Guns because they have lots of them. You work with what you have. They have access to everything else as well, too, so you don't have to field any plasma.
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.
Member of the Canadian Clan, eh.
Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.
Yeah, but he's talking about fluff and not gameplay. I think the concept is that they were very revered, so they got the best stuff. The best stuff in their case was heavy and numerous plasma weapons, so the Dark Angels got them when no one else did. It's kind of like the Grey Knights are in the modern setting.
Quote for probably forever 'cause it rocks:
"Slaughter them, men, and bring me their hats."
Ah ok so basically when they were around it was one of the best weapons available to them, and they started to master the art of dealing with them, and then they quickly became fond of them.Thats basically it right? Is there any other reasons?
There's the symbolism that it, you know, purges the unclean and so on.
But what has that got to do with plasma?ALot of other chapters are like that too.
