I was thinking of doing a Space Marine Kill team a tactical squad, but it looks as if there little conversion opurtunitites, I was thinking of doing ultramarines but arent Kill team suppose to be stealthy? Bright blue isnt stealthy, so If you guys could be so kind as to give ideas on how you convert your kill teams-I was thinking of doing them how the terrans look in the scarcraft instruction booklet-but where would I get heads, helmets seems a little generic.
If I were going to do an SM Kill Team, then I would use Scouts instead of regular SM's. Then you can even paint them all camo'd and stuff so that they look stealthy.
Regular SM's don't exactly inspire images of sneaking around in their bright colored armor, they are more of a "I'm Rick James, BIATCH" kind of unit that just stomps up to the enemy and ***** slaps them.
Well, they don't have to be sneaky. You could have them roaring in on jump-packs with plasma and chainswords blaring, and it'd still work.
You could paint parts of them black or at least more inconspicuous than bright blue all over, and just leave the legion symbols on the shoulderpads á la Deathwatch, but I still believe that not all kill teams have to be Mr. Sneaky McStabby.
They dont need to be a team of space marines chosen for a mission.
You could make a story for you own, like they are the only survivors of a destroyed spacecraft and stranded on a unknown planet.
The ummmm, point of Kill Team is to be sneaky.... or you get lots and lots of these things called brute squads all converging on your noisy arse at the same time, which is bad. Very bad.
If you plan on not being sneaky, then you had best break a couple of mutable laws and get some whiz gear and units so that you can take on more than one brute squad at a time.
definetely go with scouts the new rules for kill team in white dwarfs chapter approved killed space marines in tactical armor or 3+ save cause a klaxon alert each time they move.
Which completely kills my kill team.
"They shall all taste OBLIVION!,.....which tastes like Red Bull, which is disgusting."
