4th edition Wolf Gaurd (hopes and speculations)

I know their a long way off, but i was wondering what other space wolf players are hoping or expecting for the new wolf guard rules when they come out. As the wolf gaurd have always been omong or above all other terminators.

    I hope we get:

    Something unique.
    Furious charge as an upgrade.
    Better weapon prices.
    More weapon choices.

I'll think of more after sleep.

More weapon choices? WG can take about every weapon there is, except for frost blades. That already is one of the good things about WG, you can kit them they way you want.

As youve said before GW termies are the best in the game, i dont think anything could improve them, other than being able to deep strike, but now they can drop pod, so no loss in my opinion, specially if you give them all wolf pelts so your HQ could counter charge, and maybe one other member of the squad, giving him +1 attack. Cheaper weapon costs dont seem likly because they already get the equietment for the cost of what a none terminator model would get it for. Without lowering the base cost, i can see no way that termies for this squad could come any cheaper. If its one squad in the news rules thats suffered in a space wolf amry its gotta be the longfangs, since having only 5 means youll be giving up your heavy weapons pretty fast. maybe the squad limit could be raised to 7 or something.

They could just lower the point cost, it would be nice since chaos liutnetant costs 45 and woulf guard 30.
SW are generaly out of date and are not a winning army in 4th edition.

We still beat the hell out of others in 40k 40 minutes
25 blood claws with 5 powerfist...
And yeah, Long Fangs aren't what they used to be, Wolf guard is pricey but well-balanced since all the weapon options and reduced prices for those.
Personaly I would like to see the Grey Hunters be better with guns (like their 13th company counterparts) and the Blood Claws be better in CC, so ws of 4 for them ^_^.
Oh! I also would like to see us able to field Wolves ^_^ I love them
So darn you, and make our Wolves more than extra wounds!

Well, i field 0 blood claws in my amrys, which means for me wolves are pwnage right now. They roll up in a rihno, and a rune preast, hop out, bolterize the enermy, while popping off a meta gun and plasma pistol, they count as in cover for the enemies shooting phases, and assualting phase, if ive been a good commander ill strike first and oberate whats left of that squad. wolves seem to me to be the best all around space marine chapter in the new rules, perhaps you are just massing assault blood claw troops, i wouldnt advise that, and dont forget about those eliet scouts, they will win double their points if you can find a tank or a devistator squad. Dont use melta bombs EVER. peace

Not a winning army? Wait until you've got (in 2k) 4 units of Grey Hunters (packed with fists, plasma pistols and melta's), a Ven-Dread and a Terminator Wolf Lord accompanied by Term. Wolf Guard podding onto your head.
    Then we'll talk about winning.

Who said I was not wining ^_^
BTW, don't field your Uber-grey hunter squad with Wolf Guard Battle leader in 40k 40 minutes
    I did...
Thats why I run in with blood claws nowadays.

Mouse did say SW aren't game winners.

In 40k in 40m I like 2 packs of 8 GH, with 1 WG. The GH will not be uberly equipped, but they'll have more fists than the enemy will care to see.

And I love podding... especialy if the entire army drops in on turn 2 or 3...
