I'm thinking of a HQ and Terminator heavy army, that would be fun. I'm trying to decide what I'de like to use for my troops choices. So what do you all recomend?
TAU suck, Blood angels rule
Well, Grey knight terminators are the most expensive terminators in the game, so you wouldn't want ot have a GK termie heavy army in a small points game. Other than that, you can have up to 52 terminators in a Daemonhunters army, albeit at a minimum of 2375 points, basic troop choices not included.
If you're looking for something termie heavy, go for deathwing, I understand they can have termies as troop choices. Or of course, you could simply ally with a deathwing army, although I'm not really sure if you could do that.
As a general rule for me, I don't take termies in a game under 1500 points, as a unit of ten will take up just under half your points in a 1000 point game. GK termies are also the best termies in the game (at least IMO).
If you insist on many termies, then take a minimum of 2 5 man IST squads, and Use your elite and HQ choices to fill up on termies.
As for a HQ, a Grand Master can't be beat, and a nice retinue of terminators for him would go well with your army. Although if you wanted more termiantors, just take a Brother-Captain to save the points.
Be warned, an entire army of Grey-Knight terminators will not only be expensive point-wise(meaning you will find yourself outnumbered 99.9% of the time) but it is expensive money-wise. So if your wallet is weighing you down, and you have an urge to buy scores of terminators, I say go for it.
eh, $10 for a GKT in ablister. $10 for two GK in ablister. Ones 45 pts, one's 50. About the $/pt.
Well. You've got all of two choices. Stormies or Grey Knights.Originally Posted by pencils are cool
Stormies make a little more sense to me, as you'll need cheap troops to make up for the lack of numbers in your GKT, and they'll provide different weapon options.
You could also induct guard.
If you inducted Guard, you would still have use stormtroopers as your compulsory Daemonhunter troop choices. It says on page 30 of the Codex: Daemonhunters.Originally Posted by IGFreely
