    A little Help please

    Hi guy and gals
I'm quite new to witch hunters but have played as Eldar for a while now, this will only be my second time in using them
My friend is setting up a campaign for me and a few other of his friends, we have a Tau player, Eldar, Space Marine (The Blue SMurf like ones, Ultramarines) and someone who has been eldar and Necrons in the past but has now having a go with chaos. The problem is he won't tell which Mark of Chaos he is going to be all I know it that he said he can move 12-18" a turn so this to me says Khorne, Possed Space Marines or Raptors?
I plan on hopefully winning this and the campaign is supposed 2 b based on city fight but as far as I know we don't have anywhere enough terrain. I have come up with a few things:

    1 Canoness (HQ) @ 95 Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)
    Rosarius [25]

    1 Priest (HQ) @ 75 Pts
Commander: Repentias (Elites); Eviscerator; Las Pistol
    Power Armour [10]

    18 Repentias (Elites) @ 390 Pts
    Eviscerator

    1 Repentia Mistress @ [30] Pts
    Twin Neural Whips

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 165 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x1); Meltagun (x1)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 165 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x1); Meltagun (x1)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

5 Retributor Squad (Heavy Support) @ 236 Pts
    Bolter (x1); Multi-Melta (x4)

    1 Imagifer @ [31] Pts
    Bolter

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

3 Penitent Engine (Heavy Support) @ 240 Pts
Front Armour: 11; Side Armour: 11; Rear Armour: 10; 2 Arm Mounted Flamers

    1 Exorcist (Heavy Support) @ 135 Pts
    Exorcist Missile Launcher

    Starting Faith: 5

    Models in Army: 52

Not Very faith Heavy and not very model Heavy but I think it would work

Hey, Welcome to the Witch Hunters! And LO!

12" - 18" - Your Assumptions are correct. Stay away from then.

On the bright side you can afford to sit back and shoot.

List - I LIKE. Lots of fluffyness, and potential.

Change: Get antother Squad of SoB. You need the troops.

Drop a Pentitant Engine, and use 1 for 1 Heavy Support Choice. That way when one gets immoblized, the other one won't become useless.

    Otherwise great!

I'd suggest the "blessed weapon" and the cloak of St. Aspira for the Canoness. And Heavy Bolters for the Retributor Squad. I'm not a big fan of Penitent Engines - but I won't suggest you dropping all of them since I know my point of view is rather taste-based.

Other than that - I really like the list. Keep us informed of how the battle went.

    Yet again thankyou

I was just wondering now what a sheer force of numbers would be like. I made a list while messing about, after my stupid long haired friend hinted he might take a lot of guardians, I figured I could take about 75 models, how fun. Anybody tryed a huge force?

I could see this being painful:

    1 Canoness (HQ) @ 97 Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)
    Rosarius [25]
    Auspex [2]

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

9 Battle Sisters Squad (Troops) @ 161 Pts
    Bolter (x7); Flamer (x2)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [50] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)

6 Retributor Squad (Heavy Support) @ 218 Pts
    Bolter (x2); Multi-Melta (x4)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [52] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)
    Auspex [2]

6 Retributor Squad (Heavy Support) @ 218 Pts
    Bolter (x2); Multi-Melta (x4)

    1 Veteran Sister Superior @ [52] Pts
Plasma Pistol (x1); Power Weapon (x1)
    Auspex [2]

    Starting Faith: 10

    Models in Army: 75

    Total Army Cost: 1499

    Just wondering for a joke!!

I will make sure I take some pictures, and write a report if i have time but as im very new there letting me play with a half paper army cos I'm testing the SoB to see if there worth investing in or continue with my Eldar

    thanks again

Looks good! A lot of models!

I have always wondered that most players that start Witch Hunters as a second army have played Eldar before (like me), is it a coincidence that the witches get dragged to the Witch Hunters?

Well Eldar was my first army, then I went to Space Wolves, and finally to the Witch Hunters.

I could see this being painful:
Against guardians, extremly, especially since bolter rounds go straight through their armour, unless they use conceal. But thats what flamers are for right
Only a few prefer liberty - the majority seek nothing more than fair masters

Well, I say that you cant have to few flamers (I want a Dominion Squad with 4 Flamers and a Superior with Combi-Flamer and an Immolator with Twin Heavy Flamers!).

flamer are a must in witch hunters.
horde armies (tyranids, guard, orks and guardian heavy armies) fall like flies to flamers and heavy flamers
