so can anyone tell me how to convert female guard?
the curretn female guard models are
the gaunts ghost model
catachan with grenade launcher
warrior women (last chancer)
rocket girl (last chancer)
and any esher model
perhaps the witch hunter Hospitaler with lasgun
but does anyone convert plastic models(or metal)?
im sure with green stuff you could extend the "bust" of a male cadian
and then add hair but how would you get a feminine quality to the face?

I don't like any of the options for female models. They'd be slighter of build (in general) but female soldiers don't wair form fitting fatigues to battle any more than male soldiers would.

Three Companies of the 26th Vinancium
143rd Airborne Badgers (99.9% done)
159th Corsair Rifles (35% done))
69th Armored Wall Busters (95% done)
Total 197 men, 12 tanks, 4 Heavy Artillery Pieces
Why would you want to have females. It brings any gaurd army down a notch.
As far as I'm aware, army women in general are typically more butch than the average civilian. This is partly due to the strength requirements of the training and service, and partly due to the aggressive mentality needed to survive in the army. I don't doubt that there are very feminine soldiers who serve, but the physical requirements tend to weed them out early on.
This means that a majority of the women in any army look pretty much the same as the men, long hair is still frowned upon (although they could probably get away with it longer than buzz cut), and infantry body armour comes in a "One size/shape fits all" styling. Would you really want breasts on the front of your breastplate? (and I don't mean to play with)

A guy in another thread was talking about using LOTR haradrim as Tallarn desert raiders. If you used GW tallarn as men and LOTR Haradrim as women you could make an awesome fremen-like army! The women would be slighter but still dressed very similarly.Originally Posted by Forger of Civilization
Well, I have a couple of points to make. I may only be in Military Intelligence (The most cushy branch of the military) but there are only two females in my whole 400 person company who cut their hair short enough to almost fit males standards. In fact, our regulations state that a female is not allowed to cut her hair in accordance with the male standard because that is trendy and an attempt to make a fashion statement which the military frowns on.
I do agree that most duty uniforms are not flattering to the figure at all, but most of the "nice' uniforms or dress uniforms are designed fit our bodies and make them look flattering. The female Marine uniform comes to mind as the best example... Grrrrrrowl.
I would like to see a few more female models for armies, but not at a loss to other models. In other words, I don't see any need to toss female models into the list just for the sake of having female models. If there is some fluff or background for it, then great, I would like it, but if not, then it's just to placate a part of the gaming community.
I would use the female grenade launcher model in my IG army, however, I don't use Grenade Launchers so I don't ever put any females in. Oh well, perhaps there will be an all female IG army to be released at some date far far in the future.
Da-aaayum H0urg1ass, that is one hell of an advertising campaign for joining various militaries from around the world (specifically Israeli) in your sig.....and although the Israeli army is a mandatory thing, I can't imagine any reason why I'd complain, except maybe some of them seem way too young for it

While it isnt a GW prduct, mongoose publishing makes feale sodier models that fit a "femenine" mark, you may also be able to make a LATD army out of females with witch elves, female dark elf sprues, and perhaps a lot of greenstuff and some other such equipment, check mongoose though, you could rolly use the plastic sprues to effect to create what you want, hope i help...
BTW, women in the military are great, just not in combat for the most part...

mpdscott is right, the army does not make female only armour but one size fits all,
there are female regiments in the Guard but not all that many, modleling them could be a pain.
Btw as a side point how do the SOB get into that power armour, can you imagine all the rubbing and pulling and pushing to get them into place for those breast cups on power armour????????????????????????????????
i onder if there recruiting for power armour dressers?
