When a unit of daemonhosts deep strikes do they have to appear in the same place or can you pick a different place for each of them?
Daemonhosts doesnt form units together.
They deploy alone, deepstrike alone and move alone.
Never fear, St. Jimmy is here...
Forgive if this is a dumb question but would I make a roll for their special ability on the turn they can make a reserve roll, or is it that their first turn never has special abilities? It's just that with them deepstriking all alone with no way to defend themselves first turn I'm afraid a strength 8+ weapon will take them out in one hit, especially since I'd probably want to deepstrike them next to heavy support type squads.
You roll for their powers as soon as you deploy them. If you roll Teleport, you can do that and then charge on that turn, even though it's the same turn as you Deep Strike.
"HQ, my LOS is blocked by a soda bottle. I'm moving to unmask my guns."
"Negative! The soda bottle is the Carnifex!"
"Dang proxy models!"
