Can someone give me a detailed explanation of wach SM chapter? like what they are good at, anything that stands out... dark angels, white scars, space wolves, ultra marines, black templar, blood angels... i'm deciding whether to go witch hunters or a SM chapter

Dark Angels - you get the intractable rule, which keeps them from running away from enemy shooting. Dreads can have Plasma cannons, LSTs are better for the same price, Termiantors pass all morale checks, Bikers are skilled riders, can field an all-Termiantor force, Ravenwing have Invulnerable saves.
Blood Angels - Furious charge is free, have a tendency to charge forward unexpectadly, good CCW dreads, not much for Long-range firepower.

All terminator force for dark angels? and everything else. this matches tau in some ways... cept heavy stuff. I'm going dark angels DEFINANTLY. so, does that mean i can count termies as troop and elite or just elite, or what? do i need to feild reg marines at all? for basic army can i have 10 termies and an hq?

Standard Dark Angels.
All the things in the SM codex except for scout bikers and Veteran squads, because the first company of the DA is entirely Deathwing Terminators, no power armour.
Ravenwing. (second company)
Bikers for Troops, Land Speeders for Fast attack, attack bikes for Heavy support. Must have a Master fothe Ravenwing for HQ, you can field him on a Speeder (yes, really!)
Deathwing (first company)
All HQ has to have Terminatore armour. Say goodbye to morale checks. Termiantor squads and Termiantor assault squads as troops, elites, fast attack, or heavy support. Dreadnoughts for elites. Land Raiders for Heavy support.
Deathwing is the First Company of the Dark Angels Chapter, it is completey made up of veterans in Terminator Armour. You may play a pure Deathwing force.
Basicaly you get Terminators as Troops, Elites, Fast Attack and Heavy Support.
Land Raiders and the Crusader variant as Heavy Support.
Dreadnoughts as Elites.
Plus HQ charecters must be in Terminator Amour.
You may not take anything else.
Deathwing are normal Terminators but they cost afew points more and are Stubborn.
10 Terminators and an HQ would indeed be a legitimate army.

Ultra marines the vanilla of all marines the basic sm army( not saying there bad, they have good fluff). Black Templars & Crimson Fists are a successor chaps to Imperial Fists, Black Templars are a chap that are on a crusade to rid humanity of evil, and the crimson fists have a strong disliking for orks.
To do the bidding of the god of decay death and corruption is to be rid of all things that makes you weak only in return for the control of your soul!
