For Halloween-What is the freakiest WH model?
My bet is on a properly done Penitent Engine.
Some of the inquisitor retinue make the grade as well, those cherubs with the skull faces and the leximechanic is no vision of bliss either.
Now a surgeon cuts off rotten limbs; and mangy sheep are isolated from the healthy; but a prudent Judge will not consider it safe to bind himself down to one invariable rule in his method of dealing with a prisoner who is endowed with a witch's power of taciturnity, and whose silence he is unable to overcome. For if the sons of darkness were to become accustomed to one general rule they would provide means of evading it as a well-known snare set for their destruction. - Malleus Maleficarum , part III.
I'm gonna have to go with a really well done Pentinent Engine. Scary.
When life gives you lemons, shut up and eat your damn lemons.
I would have to say the Peintient in the inquisitors retinue. Freaky stuff!
Arco's, Penitant Engines, and =][= retunies. *shudders*
i would say pretty much anything in a which hunter army that isn't a sister or guardsmen
If the Repentia models were done as freaky as the illustration by Karl Kopinski on pg12-13 of the WH codex then they would win hands down.
Take a close look at that pic. Several Repentia have skewers pushed through their cheeks. One has skewers through her EYELIDS and then through the flesh of her jaw. She and several other Sisters have blinded themselves by this or wrapping seals over their eyes. They are holding on to other Sisters to guide them. To facilitate this one Sister is wearing a metal collar with a large ring which another Sister is holding. One Sister has multiple skewers through the skin of her back holding purity seals.
In many ways the Sisters are the most disturbing of Imperial troops. By our standards they are crazed fanatics. It is mentioned in the background that they practice self-mortification. The entire Ordo Hereticus is frankly pretty creepy, and not in a fun, Halloweeny way.
