I would start a poll but I can't so we shall have a long drawn out thread with everyone voicing their opinions instead okay? Hurrah!

How do you pronounce Cadia and Cadian?

I first read the word in solitude and immediately pronounced it to myself as Kay-dee-ah as in Arcadia. That seems most reasonable me and still does.

Later in a GW store I was watching a match between a player and a GW store member. They were both pronouncing it Kad-ee-ah and kad-ee-ans. I basically wandered off shaking my head and internally calling them illiterate twats. I thought that my pronounciation gave them an epic and almost mythological potency whilst theirs made them sound like dutch golf club worriers..

Later as I sat thinking and chewing it over I thought to myself just because I think I know how to pronounce it and in reality it doesn't matter really as I try not to go into GW stores any more, I accept that their pronounciation may be right and infact probably is. After all the GW staff member would have to order new stock of Cadians wouldn't he and when he is phoning it through the Trolls would undoubtedly have corrected him if it was wrong. I still think their pronounciation is stupid but now I wonder if mine is just wrong?

What are they then in your opinions?

    Kay-dee-ans or Kad-ee-ans?

Kay-dee-uh, Kay-dee-ans, definitely. It just sounds....right. Those guys at that store should be ashamed of themselves.

I have always said Kay-dee-uh and Kay-dee-uns but I can see why some people may say it the other way.

I have always pronounced Tyranids as Ty-Ran-Ids other most people seem to say it as Tyr-An-Ids (As in Tyranny)

There are some people who seem to make a point of this everytime I mention Tyranids and hate me because I wont use its real pronunciation =¬_¬= However its the one I started using and always will be so meh.
