I have just started 40K a year ago, and since then i have purchased a Chaos Terminator Squad and a Khorne Bezerker. I have become really interested in Daemon Hunters, mostly because i have read some of the Inquisitor books. I am thinking about starting my army from a Inquisitor, and 2 boxed of Inquisitor Shocktroopers, is this a good idea? And yes, i am planning to make it based on Inquisition.
Sure, great. Remember that those troops can do just about anything based on wargear, special weapons, retinues, transports, etc., so don't be afraid to have a specific battlefield role for each. For example, you could make a shooty Inquisitor and retinue using Gun-Servitors, and anti-tank squads of Inquisitorial Storm Troopers (ISTs for short) with melta guns and a Rhino transport. Think about your opponents, check your DH codex and come up with unit ideas that you can finalize in the forums. Post an army list when you're ready.
"HQ, my LOS is blocked by a soda bottle. I'm moving to unmask my guns."
"Negative! The soda bottle is the Carnifex!"
"Dang proxy models!"
