I play mostly Tau and Tyranids right now, so I need help choosing the rest of my beginning army. Currently I have 1 tac squad, 9 bolter marines and 1 missile launcher marine, along with a Rhino equipped with smoke launchers, and extra armor. I need 1 more tactical squad and a commander unit.
First of all, which commander should I choose, and what wargear/options should I pick?
Second, how should I outfit my squad? How many guys should be in it?
Finally, what modifications should I make to what I already have?
OK - couple of caveats, clearly you need the codex, I appreciate you have not asked for this info so far, but it is getting towards that route.
Now, as to what to do..
Fistly what sort of chapter do you want? are you interested in the paint scheme? unusual armies? power gaming?
Your other 2 armies give no real clue as one is assault based and the other is shooting based.
What you have is not a bad start for most marine armies, but not all.
so you really need to decide what chapter (and possibly traits) and how you want thee army to play, otherwise we are clutching at straws.
That said, for my money, the best general HQ to take would be a chaplain
but really, before I go any further than that, what chapter???
Oh oops, left out some key info there. I do have the codex, and I play Ultramarines.
