Another question, with the Platoon HQ lol, yeah I know some other guys must be like *sigh* not again. Sorry about that anyway.
With the platoon HQ (Junior officer+ 4 Staffmen) could I use a lascannon team (which counts for 2 of the staff) and say... 2 cadian snipers to fill the extra 2 staffsmen required?
PS. On a less major question, could someone give me a reference to what the Cadian Sniper's statistics are? (WS, BS, S etc....) because I couldn't find it anywhere.
Any Help Will be appreciated!
i'm here to answer all your dire questions about the future, friends, family, and maybe even romance... or i'll just answer these questions in the meantime (it's nighttime here, early morning back in the states so not sure who all else is up, nobody responding to the other topics...anyways...)
yes you can make two of your staff into a lascannon heavy weapons team...
no you can't make the other two snipers, you can only use the special weapons available as listed in the command squad section of the codex (sniper rifles are heavy weapons anyways)...
the stats for snipers follow normal guardsmen rules (or ratlings if you use them as proxies in ratling sniper squads; because really, nobody likes ratlings), the models are used either in special weapon squads, as ratling sniper squads, or in guard infantry squad squads using the light infantry doctrine... although with that doctrine you could put in a guardsman sniper instead of that lascannon, although could only use other special weapons or whatever ever other options
hope that helps somewhat... shrug
lol I don't know how to thank you!
But dam... is there a cost effective (monetry wise) way of getting 2 guardsmen to complete the Platoon HQ without taking them out of squads?
Buy the blister with the plasma & melta gun??
"I'm gonna stomp 'em to dust. I'm gonna grind their bones. I'm gonna burn down dere towns and cities. I'm gonna pile 'em up inna big fire and roast 'em. I'm gonna bash 'eads, break faces and jump up and down on da bits dat are left. An' den I'm gonna get really mean."
lol I said Cost effective (monetary wise) as in... Cheap? I need 4 of them which equals to $36... Anyway thanks for your help. =)
You should look around on ebay.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
Gee thanks... Unfortunately I"m not a big fan of online buying/selling however thank you for your suggestion.
i'm with you brotha; i ordered this package 3 weeks ago and still no word... i need those damn silver helms for my high elf cavalry army... i'll be back in the states by the time it reaches here... then it'd be another month before it caught up to me forwarded home.
anyways, look at it this way... if you bought the infantry box, you'd have enough infantry parts for 18 more guys or whatever you needed bits for....
(like that section on the GW website about chaos defenses and showed a gunpit made out of rubble and piles of dead guardsmen... although you're not chaos... guardsmen do die in droves none the less and could be modelled on the board as objectives, interesting terrain (representing a long ongoing battle on the same field), or as cover for your troops (a guardsmen provides use even in death).
hrmm... yeah... Well the infantry box supplied only 20 bodies and I wouldn't be going any further without them.
Thank you again for your suggestions (and many previous suggestions) and I hope those silver helmets get to you fast and un damaged.
