I don't know what colour to paint my Kasrkin IST's. I was going to paint them white and black, like stormtroopers from Star Wars but I found painting white too hard. So, any other ideas for painting schemes? Something simple, yet looks well, and would fit into both my Imperial Guard army and DH army but looks, well, ELITE!
Ironically enough, I have no idea what colors your IG and DH armies are, and therefore cannot tell you what IST scheme would match them.
H well, what colour can your DH be? Well it may not be obvious to you but my GK's are Boltgun Metal.
My IG's are Catachan green and Camo Green.
The Grey Knights I have are pretty much codex paintscheme clones. Normally I like doing different things but silver/black/red with gold highlights just looks wicked.
My Stormtroopers, I want to use Steel Legion models to represent them, and will probably be mostly black or dark grey with gore red. Still similar to codex but damn, can't argue with blatant coolness.
All in all, I like their color schemes so much already, combined with rediculously cool looking models I think its the best looking 40K GW studio army in existance, right ahead of the new Tyranid hive fleet Leviathan army. How could I NOT go with it...

I use Mithril Silver for my GKs, I had already painted my Stormies Boltgun Metal (carapace) and Codex Grey ( cloth ), the rest Black. This seems to work in both my IG and Deamonhunter Armies.

i spay mine black, then paint all of them boltgun metal all over, black for the fabrics and then gold on all the details. oh and red, gold or blue for the visors.
I painted my ISTs similar to that in the codex, I used scab red with blood red highlights for the undercloth and black for the armor plates.
Another scheme I have seen used that looked awesome was an urban camo idea. It was a shadow grey colored cloth with space wolves grey and white patches and black armor plates.
My Stormtroopers are painted with black for the fabric highlighted with a mix of codex grey and choas black. The armor plates are red gore edged in blood red. All the visors are ultramarines blue and the backpack is left black but edged in boltgun metal to give it a worn look.
