Since I think no one will answer my question on the other one I'll ask it here.
Can you even take Space Wolves as allies or not it doesn't say I dont think in the book.
No. It states in the DH codex, page 21 (italics added):
"When using allied or inducted troops, only the basic versions of these troops types published in the appropriate Codex may be used. No variants of any kind can be incorporated...It is still perfectly permissible to use, for instance...variant Space Marine Chapter models to stand in for normal Space Marines, although they obviously would not use any Chapter-specific rules."
So, while you could use Space Wolves models to stand in for normal Space Marines with the same equipment, they would not have any Space Wolves special rules (whatever they are), nor could you use any units other than the ones specifically noted on pages 30-31 of the Dh codex.
"HQ, my LOS is blocked by a soda bottle. I'm moving to unmask my guns."
"Negative! The soda bottle is the Carnifex!"
"Dang proxy models!"

You can only take "normal" marines as allies in a deamon hunters army.
Though you can play "space wolves" and use deamon hunters as allies. I do it with my blood angels, I use grey knight termys from time to time.
