    1st Company

    hey everyone. i was flippin through my codex and i noticed they had given information on each company in a chapter (pg. 6. kind of a stupid idea but i was wondering if there was a way to field an army like the 1st company displayed in the codex. i know you can't field an army full of veterans, but wouldn't it be wicked to field an army of terminators besides playing as DA. thanx for any feed back.

    If you take the 'Trust Your Battle Brothers' and 'See, But Don't Be Seen' traits, then a normal tactical squad could be used to represent a veteran squad...
    Possibly.

    Or just take scouts with vet. sgts and teleport homers as troops choices.

    Otherwise you're going to have to use deathwing rules I believe.

    when it comes down to it, even though the 1st Company IS all veterans and most have access to Termi armour, they very rarely fight as a company, they get "leased" out to the other companies for a time, so that they can make use of the impressiveness that is a Termi
    of course there are a couple of the 1st founding chapters that have a much greater supply (or different organizational structure) that allows them to actually have a company of Termis at all times

    Well here's how I'd do it...

    minus's suggestion of using see but don't be seen and trust your battle brothers to represent veterans is a good one, they'll be pretty pricy at 21pts per models but hey, that's the point. so you've got 2 or 3 squads of them. Give one or two of them a teleport homer and get some termies to teleport in to their advanced position. Perhaps 2 squads of terminators, one of them led by the master. A couple of dreadnoughts in drop pods and that'd be about it.

    I quite like it, it really gets the feel across of this super elite force that infiltrates/teleports/drop pods out of nowhere and hammers the opposition before it can react.
