Heavy Weapons have to be grouped right? Eg. Heavy Bolters w/ Autocannons, Lascannons with M. Launchers etc. In groups of 3 (6 guardsmen) right?

Ok as many of your friends and opponents army lists will be helpful.
Other wise for general tactics see sticky above. (Still havingtroublefighting nurgle in any substantial amount)
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
ok thanks I"ll check out the general discussion
Use Eldar speed to get into CC w/ Tau.
Use the IG shooty to eat the nids.
Simple. And effective (I think).
And do as Triumph says, he knows what he's talking about.
lol nice, yeah.. The first battle that's pretty much what happened except I had some REALLY REALLY BAD rolls against the Tyranids with the "shooty tactic". I mean seriously I should be hitting on a 50% basis right? with a BS of 3, but I only landed like what? 1 in 7 shots. and the only shots that landed barely wounded anything... only the crappier weapons landed while say... My basilisk ohh yeah. Missed. As well as my lascannon and autocannon.
Ahhh. What point size are you playing?
Addiontaly Heavy Bolters are the best weapons against those two. Definatley.
Really? Heavy Bolters? Hrm... They seem a bit weak against the tau. Anyway the latest match was approximately 1000 point like give or take by 10-30 points so yeah...
Wounding Tau on 2+ w/ no armour save, and longer range than pulse rifle? Hell yes! Plus, the high rate of fire makes it easier to kill Tau.
Wow, lol I never noticed... Man I am such a noob but errr... would it be a wound on 2+ or 3+?
thank you for your help!
2+ my friend.
Heavy Bolters pwn!
