Im thinking of starting my own band of witch hunters and am having trouble sorting through all the "waste" equip and options so i would like some vet gamers to tell me what the must-have equipment, retinue and psy powers(if any) for both a hq inquisitor and an elite one both battlefeild roles will be to counter possible threats to my firing line (in other words things that get into assault range and could really screw up my nice neat line of soriatas) i'm not sure what the proper wording should be but essentially fast, very good cc and light to moderate firepower
If you want something 'fast' you'll probably be wanting to put the Inquisitor and his retinue in a transport (which could be a Land Raider if you want to spend the points ).
There is an "easy out" alternative: Lord Karamazov.
You don't have to decide on a retinue or wargear (it is all set for you) and you can simply start playing. Once you see how Karamazov works then you will have a better idea of exactly how you want to specialize your Inquisitor Lord.

I'm not a big fan of special characters cause for the same points you can usally make somthin much better you just miss out on some special rules also i should've put this on the first post a 300 point (give or take) for a hq and 200(give or take) for a elite although if the elite is really good i somtimes let the cap slip by 50-70 points but no way in hell would I feild a hq more than 325 it just dosn't make it's points back and as most hq's pretty much have shoot me printed on them it's too bigger victory points chunk for opponent
