should i use a emperors champion in my space wolves and if so is the black sword a 2handed weapon
According to the Codex the Black Sword can be one of 2 choices. If used as a single-handed it is a power weapon with +1 strength and can be used with with his bolt pistol. If you use it as a 2-handed then it's treated as a power fist.
ok but should i use him
Dunno. Again, seems kinda of cheesy and out of place. He is really a Templars character, so some people might object to it...
Other than that it seems tlike a good idea as he is a very good character stats and performance-wise.

Make him "Russ' Champion" and suitibly convert him and there you have it... an effective way to have an EC in an army that would seem out of character to have one.
And he's not just a Templar's Character. Technically he's available to all SM armies, some just don't seem right though. A Relictor's Ec would seem kinda strange...but legal...

ya i would change his name
The latest battle report in WD has an EC for the Space Wolves called a Champion of Russ I do believe. Check it out: he didn't even use the original EC model, but a dude with a big ax! Great model!
