Hey everyone. I'm gonna be in a "team tournament" in March and I'm required to make a 1K point Blood Angel list. I'm not sure what should go in a BA army at 1K pts, so any suggestions would be great.
A sample army list and tactics would be totally priceless!
Also, keep in mind that I can't use more than 1 HQ choice, and that I've gotta share two FoC's with 3 other players.
Thanks in advance!
Hmm you needa share FOCs, that's not too nice...
Right. Well, first thing is, your HQ should be the Chaplain. More Death Company is ALWAYS a good thing. You dont know who's gonna partner you right? So, if u wind up in an overall shooty army, the DC can give whoever wants to assault a REALLY nasty shock.
Other stuff. Take some LSTs. You can get a lot of them like 6 for 2 FOCs so you wouldn't clog up anyone else's army. And boy do they pack a punch!
For troops I'd recommend 4 squads. 2 standard 4xbolter 1lascan squads and 2 other bigger squads like 7 men w/plasma gun + lascan/plasma can. That'll give ur army good AT firepower and pretty nice fire support. Remember to put Vet Sgts in there for p.fists in Death company, and they'll make a very solid troop core.
Make a list yourself and post it in the Army Lists subforum. It's much easier for us to help you once you have a list yourself.
Haven't played em yet, actually. I'll be doing so soon, I think. I think he knows I've got his number this time.:tongue:Originally Posted by ForgedInTheFurnaceOfWar
Yeah. Good idea on making my own list. I would have, but it was getting close to 4AM and I wasn't in the state of mind to be writing army lists.
Eh, I played Blood Angels for awhile and I discovered 3 things--
The Chaplain with Jump pack can be used in place of assault squads
You want troops (and probably transports)
Most of your heavy weapons should be mobile (vehicle mounted)
In 1000 pts I'd include the chaplain's DC, about 3 squads of troops, 1 bike/attack bike squad, and a Predator tank (prefferably annhilator with HB sponsons, but the Baal would probably work fine, and be fluffy).
If you were going to go drop-pod style, then use speeders instead of bikes, and a dread (maybe furioso) instead of the predator.
I think either list will be effective. Good luck.
