Hey, I'm not a fan of rhinos, as they are just bullet magnets, but what about razorbacks? They seem pretty cool, and if you don't put your guys in them, they are just mobile lascannons....

Pssst.... give me kudos....
It may have a TLLC but its still ar11 for 90 odd points.
If you swarm them then in a Marine Mech company they can survive and if you keep tem out of LoS on turn 1 then bring em out it can work.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
If you look at the difference between your Rhino and Razorback. They are still bullet magenets. the reason I say this is that the armor values are the same. If you have Rhinos and Razorbacks in your army choice, your razorbacks are going to get the pounding.
I Love playing razorbacks. It give me fire support and small squad transport. But they go down quicker than my Rhinos.
Test play your Razorbacks with equal amount of rhinos, your proof in the pudding well be told by your opponent.
It depends on the rest of your army, my razorbacks in my sons of medusa are effectively my anti tank, mean time the 6 man squads that came with them are blatting away with plasma, always field at least 2
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Thx. Dodge. One has to remember not everyone precieves a Razorback as a threat. If there is land Raider on the Table you need precieve the greatest threat.
I would say a Rhino deployed as HQ or Elite is a greater threat than one deployed by a troop or heavy support. There again easy points if you a IG player and some one deployes a hinos as heavy support. But their again you have to see if there are heavy weapons in the Rhino. Same goes with a Razor Back.
Think of a Razor back as a move and fire platform, that can be singled out.
When playing my Blood Angels I like to have at least 1 Razorback, and I give the 6 man squad in it a lascannon too. The troops with the cannon just sit and pluck away while my razorback hangs out in the back sniping any thing it can get a good LOS on. Helps a lot for me cause I can move from blood rage and not suffer for not being able to shoot like troops do, and for only 90'ish points.
