Well proxying a Valkyrie is hard cause no modern aircraft looks like it. But you can get a modern aircraft to look like a Vulture though.

It'll be expensive, but - wait, we're talking FW, it's gotta be cheeper  - but I'd cross an Hind kit and an A-10 kit. Definitly go with the acessory sprue, and you can order the weapons in the mail seperatly.

well, plasticard will also be an ingredient, i was thinking of the apache because of the cockpit look is much like the valk. also, to make the valk and vulture different, i will cut off the gunship wings on the side. otherwise on the vulture i will have four hunter killer missile like missile racks, or some imperial guard missiles if i have any left. The main variations will be no rotor blade, replaced by some thruster of some sort, (much like the orca from commmand and conquer if anyone remembers). Also, on the valk, there will be a deployment bay from the centre that will have interior detail, like lasgun racks and grenades & ammo.

oot, Sergei Mikhailavich Gorbachev, are you aloso on command tower guard, because youre name is familiar.

I'm in the middle of a conversion right now with an Apache kit and a Chimera. It's going to have a modified Apache Cockpit and Helicopter blades. I figured that a "helicopter" transport would fit a Catachan army real well considering that they look a lot like Vietnam soldiers anyhow.

I agree with Sergei, the MI-28 "Hind" gunship 1/35scale from Taimya models is a perfect base piece, conversion of this to scale would be a real bitch, though. Think "flying tank" when converting and go for the "do it yourself pattern" instead of the Mars pattern, just make it look like it could fly and add some extras, the paint scheme and decals should cover the discrepencies.

Yes, I am on Command tower, and I use the same name so I don't get comfused.

I personally think that forge world makes their minis hard to convert. It's not true for all, I mean the Blaneblade conversion from a Russ has been done, but certainly true on the flyers. The other thing is any non-citadel minis will automatically e removed from play in GTs. I assume they'll let you use FW, though.

Next time you are in London stop in at Forge World and get one though! It would be so much easier. Course, if you figure 100$ for the fig, pluse probably 900$ for the round trip, I'd convert.
