I just currently have some confussion with the use of a command squad. It comes with 5 models, Space Marine Veteran Sergeant, Company Champion, Apothecary, Standard Bearer and a Space Marine with assault weapon. The problem is i cant find an entry in the codex for most of them. There is one for the "Command Squad", but it talks about just a Sergeant and bodyguards. Do the other 4 models count as body guards? Sorry, it just seems abit confussing, as i dont know what stats to use or if there counted as one HQ choice. Sorry if this is a n00b question.
Thanks for any help,
The way it works is that you've got a Sergeant and 4 - 9 marines. that's it, same as a Tac Squad.
The difference is that this Squad gets to play with all manner of upgrades. The Apothecary, Standard Bearer and Champion are all Upgrades for standard Marines that turns them into those specialists. They also get to pick special skills (Furious Charge, Tank Hunters or Infiltrate).
As for the weaponry and such, the squad takes their various weapon options just the same as any other squad, with the addition that the whole squad can have Termie Honors and any specialists with Honors get to pick from the Armoury.

One question thought, is there an entry in the SM codex on The Apothecary, Standard Bearer and Champion? I cant seem to find it, but its proberly somewhere obvious and im just not looking properly.
That'll be under "Command Squad"Originally Posted by SquishyB

So I can use a normal Tact Squad as a Command Squad?Originally Posted by Wraith
the thing in the codex abt. champions , apothecaries, and standard bearer ony tell what they have. If you don't know what they are, detailed descriptions are in the armory section(of the codex). I hope this helps.

Yes, because all a comand squad is Space Marines, with bolters or bp+ccw. The only diference is that the comand squad can have veteren upgrades and characters(apothocary, combany champion, etc.)Originally Posted by Fideru
