How do deathwind weapons work for drop pods?
Im not quite sure in which sense you mean work.
In game terms they fire somewhat akin to a Hammerhead submunitions round. Roll to hit and place the template. Only with different Range, Strength, Bs etc.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
possibly a better question would be, where are they mounted and how many do you get?
im just not sure on how they work because ive just got the new black templars and it just had it in the weapons summary page and was just wondering wot they are.
Deathwind launcher is the weapon upgrade for drop pods.
You get 1 per pod.
It fires with normal bs of the pod and you use the large blast template.
Generally, due to its extremely low range, it is not worth the cost.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
