I've recently started to change my old marines into Spcae Wolves, and Ive noticed that if you just use shadow grey and try to highlight with space wolves grey the models turn out to look way too dark...
I was wondering if I was missing something...
meh, that's the way i do it...
but i think the default way is paint space wolves, highlight codex

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
"Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women"
"JESUS SAVES! the rest of your models each take a wound."
Personally, I think plain space wolves grey looks too bright, so I use a 50/50 mix shadow and space wolves for the armor. Painted over a base of shadow grey.
