Ok, ive been collecting my 2000pt Witch hunter list and have everything except for my elites. the original list is in the "Witch Hunter Army Lists Section"
As you can see, my plan was to have a squad of repentia with a priest as well as arco's.
But now, on second thought, im thinking about replacing them for a number of reasons....
1.) Arco's do not have a high enough survivability rate.
2.) Repentia i have had before, but the squad is a lot of points.
I was thinking about replacing all those units with an 8 man squad of grey knight termies with a psycannon and a justicar with psycannon.
This would cost the same number of points, fill the gap in my army for close combat, and take heavy fire off the rest of my army, (especially my 2 exorcists) as well as distract the enemy while the short ranged stuff gets into position.
What do you all think?
I have been considering the archo and repentia options myself, dont currently own either, as far as I can see, repentia are just too fraguht with the possibility of getting killed before they kill anything, but arcos have a decent invulnerable save, if I went for anything i think it would be those, my biggest problem is I dont like either minis
Everything you have been told is a lie!
The GKT's have much better survivability than the arcos or repentias. Also, with NFWs they will strike more quickly in combat at the same strength as the repentias (who have to go last) with eviscerators. The only thing you won't get is the armor penetration, but that shouldn't matter.
5 Tactical Squad Marines
personally id go for the arco flaggelants:
1. to stick with fluffness of a witch hunter army
2. they can easily rip apart nething in combat, even banshees
3. way cheaper than repentia, squad of 6 arcos can easily out perform a squad of 10 repentia for cheaper.
4. high toughness and invulnurable saves means surviablity although not invincible, just be smart with them
5. choice of when to activate holy rage. More command over the unit until you want them to let loose.
actually with my army, GKT is more fluffy as my army is not inquisitorial, its a chick army. I have used repentia be4 and let me say they are good, but only when you have a priest with them. Excellent at carving a hole in tanks.
