just wondering, what do you guys do when you want to have a GKT w/ thunder hammer and storm shield? just curious. do you take the parts from SM Termies? cos i really dont wanna buy a box of assault termies just for the weapons... wait! do u buy the extra bits seperately from GW online store? or am i missing something?

What I did was to buy Inquisitor Coteaz's hammer arm bit, a shield sprue from Empire Knights (from Fantasy Battles), and a regular GK Terminator model. Cut the blade off of the NFW (but leave the hilt) and replace it with the hammer head. Trim the stormbolter off the other arm, glue a shield over the hand. Very simple, and the shield even comes with relevant iconography (skulls & iron crosses).
If you want to get tricky, I also have one where the hammer head is made from a giant =][= symbol (taken from this model).
I did something else, just for practice.
I bought 1 gk termy with psycannon (all termys will do, they just need a nfw) and the old terminator arm with hammer and the terminator other arm + stormshield.
Just cut off the upper top of his nfw (just below the blade) and put the hammer on top (cut the hammer just at the middle) (drill a hole on both side and put a tiny bit between it, sticks better when glued with superglue.
The other arm, i just cut the lower arm (under his shoulderpad) away.
At the terminator arm with stormshield bit, just cut just below the shoulderpad and use the arm.
Glue the upper gk termy shoulderpad to the lower terminator arm with stormshield bit, and ur ready. You still got the grey knight symbolled shoulderpads and u got the hammer (longhammer) and the stormshield.
Ofcourse, I used the old terminator bits, but the new plastic assault terminator sprue does well 2. IMO, the new stormshields are better (more thin then the metal ones) and they are plastic, no more drilling with ur knife/clip.
ps. use green stuff to fill the holes and smoothen it

I like that idea, although it might have that 'prepare to be pwned' that most THs do.Originally Posted by mEGALOMANIAC
I used the same technique as mEGA, but I used a WH Crusader shield instead. It's much more impressive but takes a bit more work. I hate converting metal.
A man's at odds to know his mind, for his mind is aught he has to know it with.
Ya know what the easiest way is.... buy 5 GKT torsos from GW online store, and buy the weapons sprue from the new assault termies. Comes to be $55 USD
General Nehring, the problem with that is that the standard terminator shoulder pads do not have the proper Grey knight lettering, nor do they have the Grey Knight Iconography.
Now, for mine, I took the Nemesis Halbard and cut below the guard and replaced it with a thunder hammer head. The left arm was the ricky part. I cut immediataly after the storm bolter, at the elbow at roughly a forty five degree angle, and cut the storm shield hand from the old terminator blister, and cut that at a forty five degeree angle at the lebow, attached the parts tgather, glued the shield into place, and then attached the extra GK shield.
Where's your Baritone Saxophone?
thanks guys, ive got it worked out now. The guy that works at my local hobby shop said that he could hook me up with some extra stuff from the terminator assault box! so im pretty psyched. I would suggest asking the people at your hobby shop. If the people that work at your hobby shop wont do it (real GW's might not give 'em to you), ask around with the SM players. Im sure youll find a nice guy who's willling to share.
