I was thinking about doing an armored infantry company with my Blood Angels. What I want to do is to use transports for every unit. Rhinos for the 10 man tactical squads (and devastators if there is a good firing lane deeper into the table) , Razorbacks for smaller 6 man "shock" squads with flamers or meltas. A land raider to move the termies, maybe a few land speeders for fast attack, and possibly a dreadnought for good measure. The only unit that woudn't be in a transport would be the Death Company, they have jump packs. This would be for freindly games and to my knowlege is completely legal. When I get the points figured out I'll post the final list. Let me know what you guys think.
Look up sdome of my flesh tearers lists you will find that I still play armoured lists, although a lot of BA players dropped them with the introduction of the rules re disembarking stopping charging
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Mechanised marines, meet the been there done that chapter , in a BA army would seem a great idea since at least half the urpose of BA is to get that much closer to the enemy.
Though termies may not be a good idea, since any who fall to the death company lose their termie armour and then end up wasting points. (a free rhino or jump pack does not make up that kind of loss of points tactically)
Just one thing to say about your idea, more of a suggestion really. Put the devies in the razorbacks instead of rhinos. It cuts down their size but if they are forced to move at least their transpots get a shot ...(if I rememeber correctly.)
Take my love, take my land, take me to where I cannot stand; I don't care I'm still free, you can't take the sky from me.
