I was just wondering that if you give normal terminators the furious charge abillity does it increase their base strength to 5 which would then give them strength ten attacks or would they jsut have strength nine attacks. Also would their innitiative go to 2 or does the powerfist over ride that?
Modifiers for strength are always added on after doubling, so they're strength 9.
Anything striking with a powerfist is always going to strike at initiative 1, regardless of modifiers, expect for attacking into cover with frag grenades or getting assaulted while in cover.
but cant you say you dont use your PF?? like pistol whip instead?? dont think you want to give your terminators with PF FC.. give them tank hunters and 2 asscannons
FC Powerfists are S9 I1.
You can opt to make normal attacks instead of using the powerfist at your characters normal strength and I values.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
If you really want to use furious charge on your terminators, then lightning claws would be the way to go, or power weapons if you play CSMs. The problem with the lightning claws is of course that they only come in TAS, and its hard to get such a squad into contact without getting shot up heavily along the way.

Yup, the best way I know of is deep striking in with a teleport homer and hide behind a close combat. Then charge the subsequent turn.

OK cool. Thank for that guys. I was only wondering because I have a TAS with FC and it got me wondering that if I gave them thunder hammers instead of LC would it be better to jsut give them furious assult instead of tank hunters.
Well, ultimately you're getting the same result, +1 strength vs vehicles. The difference is that TH only works for vehicles, but it's always there. FC on the other hand, only works on the charge, but you'll almost always be the one charging a tank, so the overall effect is the same. Plus, you can use it on any other units you can charge into. So really, the only time FC would be worse than TH (for a TAS) is if you wind up getting charged by some sort of vehicle (like dreads/defilers).Originally Posted by box
I usually like to deepstrike a regular termie squad into the heart of the enemy, draw away fire and give them something to panic about. Usually gives time to my Termie assault squad to rush up in my land raider crusader and reak some havoc - DAX
