Hello masters of the inquisition, i am considering starting a daemonhunter army, but i have one large concern that i was wondering if you could address, namely, that i play a friend who uses a wulfen based 13 co space wolves army, and it seems to me that the wulfen would, if not slaughter, at least defeat a like amount (point wise) of gray knights in close combat. is this true? will i be able to soften him up before assault happens? am i just totaly wround about who has the advantage in close combat?

helpThank you, i believe gray knights to be awsome overall and great to paint, very impressive looking and quite fluffy, but if one of my main enemies will own me, i might have to look else where, so thank you for your help.

If wulfen can out-combat you (and there's a good chance they might, except vs. terminators), then i would suggest investing in some firepower. Stormtroopers w/ plasma guns, a shooty inquisitor and retinue (Psycannon, Plasma Cannon, 2 Plasma Guns) or Imperial Guard allies w/ some field artillery would all work fine.

Remember, holocaust... An awesomely destructive ability that your terminators can have, effectively giving them a nice "finishing move", as they can assault and use holocaust in the same turn.

Also get a Grandmaster, in hth nothing can beat those Force Weapon attacks... No armour saves, and 1 wound can kill anything.

Finally, you will never break, under any circumstances.

So utilize your pyskers and terminators and you will decimate Wulfen, also remember evil deepstriking... Investing in an Inquisitorial Thunderhawk or Prometheus Landraider is also a good idea.

where do yall get the rules for Sternhammer? Also for the wulfen, shoot at them as much as possible, use a teleport squad to get at the long fangs, use your termies to hold off the wulfen in close combat.
You know what they say, if you dont like the weather in houston...go back to where you came from

Oh... Cultist Assasins or One of the Terran Assasins can be devastating if used very carefully to eliminate elite troops...

Remember that all GKs count as psykers, so a Culexus Speculum blast can be devastating....

Only the squad's justicar counts as a psyker for the purpose of determining how many shots a culexus gets for his speculum.

I know, I meant to say that each GK unit counts as a psyker.
