I'm starting a Space Marine chapter and I'm going to make it one that was forgotten about sometime around 5000 years before the eye of terror campaign and I'm making it's armour very metallic colours. I'm considering using a lot of Tin Bitz, Mithril Silver and a regal blue (to look faded). If you have any other suggestions please post them.
yeah i have some paint ideas
black and gold
green and gold
orange and black
blue and silver
red and black
red and white
black and blue
those are some i dont know if they have already been taken but all those colors look pretty cool together
Well my advice is to pick a simple, bold colour scheme that looks good on a battlefield and isn't too complicated. I wouldn't recommend using gold as it's one of the most difficult colours to get right...
If you can find a colour that you can spray onto your minis it would be even better... I wish I had done that... Painting each and every mini the same colour (Codex Grey and Blue shoulder plates) can be tiresome...

id do shadow grey, midnight blue and bolt gun metal.
I like the idea of black and gold would look quite good.
Im going to either do red gore main and yellow shoulder pads, fortress grey with red gore detail parts, you can use them seeing as Im definetly never gonig to meat you and care, atleast I dont think.
