Inquisitional Drop Troop Guard Army Suggestions

I have been throwing around the ideas of a Drop Troop Army, and have checked up on many. I've decided to do a Imperial Guard Drop Troop Army with DaemonHunter Allies. I want it to be very fluffy, even including Air Planes from FW. I was wondering if anyone had some ideas as to what to put in the Army to make it very fluffy, but still be all Deep Striking.

I hope people are having fun.

Try these with your Stormies and Command Squads:

    Grandmaster + Retinue

Fast Attack Grey Knights squad (squad of 10, no special weapons)

Have a Basilisk with Improved Comms.

or try a Callidus, she is so beautifull, and deadly!

IST's can't deep strike. It's unfortune, but for all intents and purposes they are Grenadier storm troopers, not the elites choice ones that guard have.

Ubernyaw is correct - Inquisitorial ST cannot Deepstrike. They may take Rhinos or Chimeras, up to two special weapons, and a Vet Sergeant with full access to the DH armoury, but no heavy weapons and no Deepstriking.

Diggums, using GK with an IG army really isn't that fluffy.

Redfang did mention that he wanted to play an IG army with Deamonhunter allies, so his Stormies could deep strike.

Actually, I can't see what the difference in fluff is between inducted IG in a Deamonhunter army and Deamunhunter allies in an IG army.

By playing an IG army with Grey Knights you give yourself a large amount of Deep Striking units, and way more flexibility.

Above is a link for an army list I came up with a while ago.

Go get IA3, the Elysian Drop Troop list is pretty sweet, with one or two exceptions, and is well worth playing if you can shell out some cash for a flyer or two. I just like the fact that damn near every squad in the list can take a demolition charge. It's so much fun to deep strike a whole platoon and then drop three pie plates on your opponent.

I think Elysians with GK allies would be pretty darn cool.

Well, I posted up a list in the Army List section, and I really like the list so far. Now I'm wondering what I should paint them. However, today is my last day online for a long time, so I won't worry about painting them till I get them.
I hope people are having fun.
