Just bought the Armies of teh Imperim CD so I can use it to build IG armies with the new codex rules. UNFORTUNATLY, it seems that I am missing something...I cant figure out how to add all the specials (Doctrines). If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know. Also, how do you add, lets say, Death Watch, or Deamon Hunters to your armies??!!!?? It was easier with Army Builder I think, UNLESS I am missing something.
after you choose IG make sure its regimental varient. then to take daemonhunter allies they should have a box to check or something similer i dont have my cd at the time so cant tell ya excatly what to do.
ok, got it. But how about death watch kill team and other HQ selections, such as assassins or choices like that?
Well it seems black library made another flaw on it..... The IG lists dont give you the option to include daemonhunters........ with the other lists when you hit create an option pops up and asks you if you want to include them in your army. Hopefully this will be fixed when the update(s) come out.
hmm, well I figured out a way if you select DH and then choose the Indoctrinated guard...kinda works.
BUT still dont know about the assassins and the Death Watch....oh well, guess its paper and pencil time....
What's your idea of these products? I've been used to using Army Builder to begin with but have moved on to pen and paper since the new codex and the lack of data files for AB.
When I saw these CDs on the GW MO-site I figured it could be interesting to get if it was a quality product. What's the verdict?
well i own both of the cds and like them. The layout of the rosters is nice and its easy to use. They have some bugs right now but im sure they will be fixed. They also dont have the Eye of terror stufff on there yet. On a scale of one to ten i give it an eight and give army builder a 5.
I currently use army builder since I am too porr to get both the armies of the imperium and the enemies of the imperium

<_< Well, in my opinion,
I like Army Builder much better. It is set up nicer, it's easier to adjust and make the lists, not to mention choosing from allies. BUT, the new GW cd has some nifty things worked into it. over all, the GW version is ok....if you have nothing, but the AB verion is superior product. Again, this might be personal choice, but I jsut think that everything about AB is better.....except for the fact that they have NO damn lists and info ready for the new Cadian Codex.....***** is taking them so long?
If you go to the website when you get the "Waaagh" message, theres an additional army file you can dload, that has all the new Guard, and theres an option for custom doctrines. roblem being that its not from the same guy, and its a little messy, but better then nothing.
