how can i distuinguish my battle squads on the battlefield? I play EC, and i just painted differently coloured slaaneshi symbols on the shoulderpads, but how can i do something like this with my SoB?
Simple answer is dont, it allows you to be more flexible than otherwise, all sisters already have iconography on both shoulders, you could use the loin cloths or sleves, but why bother, one week you want a foot sloggin army with squads of 15, the next you want one with squads of 18, do you rapidly repaint? most sisters generals find having the celestians painted differently annoying, doing this to your squads is a complete pain
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Celestians are OK, if you have enough troops to be flexible (they might double as heavies or fast attack) but color coding all the squads is too much...at least for me.
On the other hand - you did it before, so I guess this is the way you like it. I would try painting the =][= on their left shoulder in different colors (not the wings, but just the center "I"). This is subtle enough not to break your color scheme, yet you can tell from your commanding point of view who-is-who...
i find that the best way is by colouring their bases different that way if ya need to change numbers in a squad it's not so noticable
"take my love, take my land, take me to where i cannot stand, i don't care i'm still free you can't take the sky from meee" ;- firefly
"i'm gonna grant you your greatest wish i'm gonna show you a world without sin" ;- serentiy
"I am a leaf on the wind, watch how i soar" ;- serenity
thx, i just spent so much time around space wolves and such that i kinda think of squad markings as mandatory...
