Welcome to Librarium Online!
Seems to be quite a few Iron Hands players on this board (and similar trait Chapters). So I thought that we might find out just how many are out there, and start bouncing ideas around that would apply to this specific type of Space Marine army.
So to begin with, sound off - who plays Iron Hands or similar "successor" Chapter?
I started my Iron Hands army within a few months of the publication of the IA article in White Dwarf and have been playing them ever since.
IRON HANDS FOREVER!!!! So who here plays their Iron hands shooty. I do. Oh and i'm all for 6 Venerable dreadnoughts.
I play..well am starting IH... I too lazy to ever build anything or do much batteling, but I got most or all of my models..can't remeber...
Started colecting the models around half a year ago.
Ah I've seen your site a few times. Like your conversions. A marine with a AC would own.
Iron Hands all the way!
I play Iron Scars. Techmarines, Tanks and Bikes
wait, whats your site?
The drawback for the Iron Hands is "Eye to Eye". I plan to look at tactics and overall combat doctrine for the Chapter based on its specific trait advantages and disdvantages. I would also like to compare this with the fluff as represented in their IA article and even looking at the Iron Hands novel (as pathetic as it was, it did have a few good ideas).
We can compile these ideas to identify and promote the unique character of this Chapter.
General Nehring reporting in with the IRON BLADES, a newer successor chapter to the Iron Hads.
Iron blades tacitca is less "wise" then typical iron hands style of warfare, the iron blades prefer to drop pod/teleport their chapter into battle then engage the enemy in close combat. Because of these styles, Iron Blades tactical squads have traded in their bolters for a bolt pistol and ccw.

I actually have 2 clan companies that I am buliding up. One is normal Iron Hands shooty list. The other is what happens when you never get over Ferus going missing. Sicons of Mars and Trust in your battle brothers. I wanted an assult army, but liked my Iron Hands too mutch to start a new army, so this is the result.
