The Imperial patrols landed on a foreign plant that was massed in lush, wild vegetation. After a couple of days of scouting the forward observers reported seeing human tracks and settlements. Then by mistake they walked into a human village where they were worshipped as kings and allowed to rest. The Guard officers saw the savage nature of these wild people, and thier huge riding beast, and decided to make them into a company. Mercenarny Kroot were also seen on the world and bribes of weapons and the chance to fight allowed the Guard to add them to the Gudish, name for native people. This force would be a hard hitting Imperial Company that could deliver the pain into the enemey lines qucikly and effiecnetly.

What do you guys think, I have 5 MONSTROUS CREATURES in this army with many power armor attacks. The beasts will attack the troops and tanks while the Troops move up and with the Commissar hold down powerful units, ie Nightbringers, Aviators, Carnifex, while the beast do thier thing. No shooting in this army. The Great Knarolacs come with a squad of Kroot and they can be used with a Guard army. I would have to ask permission to use the Carnoasurs but who would turn down playing a Imperial Guard assualt army. Any suggestions would be helpful thx
considering the bulk of your army isn't even IG...
i find it pathetic.
it's not a CC guard army...
it's a kroot/beastie attack squad that just happens to have a couple humans in it...
why not just play Kroot Mercs then?
Pictures of the Smigs Army for your amusement....
Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
"Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women"
"JESUS SAVES! the rest of your models each take a wound."
if your into themed armies maybe.... i don't know it seems kinda weak, unless you have a s**t load of talent your going to be losing a lot of games, if i remeber correcly kroot armies are like he second hardest army if not the hardest armies to play. oh and you need a regular platoon for each conscript platoon...
Rheagar fought nobly
Rheagar fought valiantly
Rheagar fought honorably
And Rheagar died.
lets face it man IG are no good in CC.
But if you really want CC in your army slap in some grey knights or witch hunters. They give the CC hitting power you want while you also have fun with giant tanks and stuff
"Heresy is like a garden weed, it won't stop feeding until you... BURN THE WHOLE DAMN GARDEN WITH A FLAMER, BURN IT, BURN IT TO HELL!!!!!" "Is there a wittle puppy in the garden? ITS A DAEMON! BURN IT!"
Or a 50 man conscript platoon led by an imperial commissar!
In an Imperium of a million worlds, what is the death of one world in the cause of purity?
He who allows the alien to live,
shares its crime of existence.
If you want a CC army of humans you could look up the 'Lost and the Damned' list in Codexye of Terror. They can have mutants and traitors with close combat weapons, and with proper modelling you can have what looks like a loyalist force but one that's much better than an IG army could ever be. They can also have spawns and chaos hounds that can be used to represent jungle beasts, and can ally with Kroot if you wish.
