Since you guard players are the guru's of guards.
I am playing a armoured company player this week and need to beat him.
I play tyranids and the point list is 1850, what do you guys suggest?
I am not really an IG player, but this seems to be a no brainer to me.
Monstrous creatures and rending. Carnifexes, Genestealers a few Zoanthropes maybe.
Greetings from Planet X, I hope you enjoy your day.

yep. donĀ“t give your models the armour improve upgrade unless he gets an 2+ save then and give your models as much rending attacks as they can get.
DonĀ“t mess with the dicegod
Í'd say that venomcannons from carnies with 2+ save in cover and alot of rending is your best options. I can't tell you much about the nids cause I can hardly tell two bugs from eachother. The Tyranid board could probably help you more than us here.
played around a few times putting MY armoured company against a pal's nids. it's basically him trying to field power without taking the weaker nid units to see how strong they can be.
his best list had:
carnifexes with extended caraprace and venom cannons
venom cannon on hive tyrant maybe
deep striking raveners
rending claws!! rending claws!!
anything other than 2+ save on yer side is highly likely going to die. assault him and open those tin cans!!
you might want to spread out the gene stealers as they manouver to minimize damage from those lovely ordnace or hellhound flame templates. spread out and then swarm onto a tank!
your carnies are scary to armoured company since they're monstrous creatures and you can give em the extended caraprace. besides the venom cannon, you're going to get that beast to assault a tank sooner or later and it's going to hurt!
i was extra mean to my pal though. armoured company can be tough to face. especially with the doctrines and restricted units.
**evasive driving** if you assault a moving tank get ready to roll armour saves
**ace sponson gunners** anti-assault doctrine. yet another one
watch out for hellhound tank (i sometimes field 2) -> against anything, other than yer Carnies or other lone bugs with decent save, these are big threat. they wound lots quick and defeat most armour saves of yer nids!
the first time we did the nid versus armoured company i cleaned up! the second time i won by taking table quarters and just barely by victory points.

take two lictors, they ruin acs.
you need a tyrant with body guard.
regeneration on 5 wound carnis with t7 & 2+ is absurd against guard vehicles.
remember that a tank that caint shoot is as good as dead and aim for the next one.
always stun the ap 1 or 2 vehiclesfirst.
monsterous creatures with cover is retarded but legal, abuse it.
zones are a bit overated vs ac.
warriors with venom cannon and deathspitters ruin chimeras and sentenals and basically ruin anything av 12 and lower.
there are realy to strategy... offer few targets or offer many from all sides.
i play against armoured company all the time every week or so. my nids list has been beat by it on a 6 1/2 foot table only. 4x4s its not even remotely fair.
my 2 pence
heridules if he is letting you use them because they can blow throught tanks like paper
also on wednsday did you play a silver marine army for 1000pt and one in the Games-workshop at Maple view because if you that was me (note this is directed at Ozeor)
I played a 'Nid army with two squads of Genestealers, two Extended Carapace Carneys and a Hive-Tyrant with Tyrant Guard. My tanks got popped very easily.

I once played 1000 point armored company vs. my friend's genestealer brood.
It went badly for him, mostly because he infiltrated his broodlord RIGHT in front of my hellhound. I'm not kidding, I hit with the flame template and killed 11 genestealers in one shot.
That having been said, Guard players generally come at you with ordinance. Space out to counter this. Also, if he's got hellhounds or russes with flamer sponsoons, hit them first, they will slaughter a nid rush like it's nobody's business. In our one game most of my friend's kills came from shooty carnifexes and 'stealers that made it into close combat.
The major lesson is that infiltrating a genestealer squad isn't a a bad idea, but doing so near a hellhound is. Likewise, gunfexes and rending work wonders.
