Ok BT players, how lage of a game do you wait to pull out your LRC? 1000pt, 1500pt, or 2000pt? I'm scheduled to play either a 1k or 1.5k game against IG in a few weeks and I just can't justify putting 25% of my point into the LRC. Now granted this will be the first time I'm using it so I may have a different oppinion after the fact. But right now I'm just looking for a few oppinions.....
Do I wip out the LRC for a 1.5K game or just go with more troops?
i'd wait for a 2000 pt game
What other units will you have in your army? And if you wouldn't use your LRC, which unit would you pick instead?
Well I'd go with either my Razorback or my Dreadnought or both depending on the point cots, don't have my book in front of me. Most likely just beef up my Crusaiders, add a few more, throw in some Neos...I really haven't thought that far ahead, yet.....
To be honest if it's a 1500pt game I'm tempted to use it.....
Just play with the LRC and see how it works out in the battle. Or maybe it is a serious nonfriendly battle?
No, nothing like that. Just a friendly game...still new to the game so I'm just asking around...Originally Posted by Kills
my friend uses it in 1000 and he cant win without it, its funny, my tau friend slaughterd him to the man when he played without it. If u take it in 1000, people will proubaly cry cheese, id say 1500 throw it in, unless your playing with friends and u just want to test it, because you will hardly find an opponenet if your playing at a store or club or something if you add it in 1000.
“Krump first, assk qweztions neva'!"- 3000 Orks
Dark Eldar- 1500 1/0/0
"the very gods for vengeance cry”- 3000 Dwarves
well against gaurd i would take there bs3 so they will hit half the time and with AV14 it would be a though nut to crack
since its armed with hurrican bolters and an assult cannon it would chew through sqauds
IMO take it
I have done it in a 1500 points game and it was quite satisfing. he could make up my loss of firepower. but I wouldn't advise it because your opponent will pump so much fire power in it will be destroyed in 2/3 turns.
It worked for me because my opponent didn't have much AT.
Don´t mess with the dicegod
in my experiences, the LRC hasn't proven to be very useful. I play against guard and nids mostly, and it has actually just been a big point sink for me. I had a wicked losing streak when using it, and the game i took it out i won a decisive victory. I personally prefer to have extra infantry over a very expensive vehicle.
Awsome model however, and very fluffy (especially for the Black Templars). It would be great for friendly games and such, but i've found that i am just not a fan of Space marines heavy support choices.
As they say though, Your milage may vary.
