Just checking. Does a master vox cost yy or (x+yy) pts? Codex Imperial Guard p39.
"... may be further upgraded to a master-vox for +yypts."
Or is it xpts for initial vox, +yy for master-vox, making total of (x+yy)pts?

We aren't allowed to give stats or points costs on Librarium for coyright reasons. But you do not have to buy a Vox caster to buy a master vox. The master vox is a standalone upgrade.
Also, for future refernece you could have posted this question in your other topic rather than flooding by starting 2 new threads.
Thank you both for replying. So, who do I believe?
I think that the wording "...may be further upgraded to a master vox..." makes it pretty clear that you need to buy the vox caster before further upgrading to a master vox caster. I really don't see how the master vox can be a standalone upgrade when it's worded like this.
I use the armies of the imperium software and when you select the master vox it costs vox + master vox upgrade. the codex words it correctly. just like making a company standard into a regimental standard.
Imperial Guard Variants 69/20/9
Space Wolves 17/16/2
I.G. Armoured Company 7/3/2
I.G. BFG 0/1/2
Xethemes is wrong, the codex clearly states you can buy a master vox as an upgrade to a vox, it does not say you can buy a master vox without having a vox, it is explicit, as everyone else has says, it cost (Cost of Vox) + (cost of Marter Vox)
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Appreciated. I am convinced. Pretty easy actually, as X+Y is what I thought anyway - I didn't WANT to be right - I wanted to save 'X' points.
Can I ask why we can't discuss points? Or will I just get told off, and advised that I really should have done a search because this has been discussed a million times before on previous threads?
I've been here for more than a year now and the only time I can remember us discussing this is in one of my old armylist threads which I doubt you would have found by searching.
The points costs are copyrighted material and GW, like most companies are a bit touchy about that, that's why it's against the forum rules to say pointcosts and weapon/unit stats out loud.
