Its on the "extra parts" list, but doesn't have a name... it looks kinda like a little hand taser or something... its got what looks like a handle, and some little thingies sticking out the top, what the heck is it? There are a couple of them on there.
It is a Auspex.
WAAAGH! Da Beakies
"Da Orks is da best cuz we ar ded ard an killy, mean, green, krumpin machines, hav da most dakka, da stompiest dreads, da shootiest gunz, da biggest bosses, an we uze choppas...WAAAGH!"
where are you supposed to put it?
belt, hand, head, wherever you want.
Back from a long adventure.
so its just like a decoration?
Well yeah its like the Frag Grenades, i put it in one Marine's Hand whilst he held his boltor on his shoulder as if he was scanning for something, as the Auspex is a scanner.
Yes, but it's also a piece of wargear that I think only squads with Vet Sgts in can take. Damn, now I can't remember what it does...
Hmm, alrighty then, thanks for the replies
ok the auspex is a kewl little doohicky before the game starts any enemy inflitrators within 4D6" of a marine with an auspex gets shot at BANG! if the marine is part of a unit then the whole unit can shoot and can cause the infiltrators to fall back. it also sounds the alarm in raid scenarios. and anyone can take them no restrictions detailed in the wargear or the appendix. and for 2 points it can be 2 points well spent.
Having a look at it, it seems the Auspex can only be used by Veteran sergeants or indeed anyone that has access to the Wargear section - unlike Grenades which most anyone can have.
If only we had these, it would be well cool. I wish a few more Marines would become traitors and modernise the Chaos weaponry a little...
