I just started my DH army by buying a box of Grey Knights and some other stuff. As most of you know, the GK box comes with a Grey Knight with an incinerator. I had planned on using an GK squad with two psycannons, but I will have to spend $16 extra. Do you all think the psycannons are worth it?
Ah, I think they are worth it, personally I tend to include one Psycannon and one incin in my squads but all in all it depends on what you want to do with them, a psycannon can only fire 18" after you've moved so its not exactly perfect for constant movement but better then an Incins range and still very useful but 36" when you haven't moved it so nice as well, but for teleporting i'd say go with two incins, its quite devestating to light two of those babies up on a squad you've teleported near.
So, Psycannons if you think your going to have the squad standing and fighting and incins if your gonna teleport them into combat or you could always mix!
I would have to agree with Elandili. Look at the psycannon point cost- 30 points is too high if youre teleporting, shooting once, then assulting. You could get another Knight for that price- and you'd still get 2 storm bolter shots. Also, AP 4 wont go through power armor, so against marines psycannons are even less effective. Stick with the flamers unless you've got a squad standing back and shooting.
If the squads arn't teleporting what would you guys suggest? Your basic two troop choicess, perhaps having to walk across the battlefield or perhaps in a transport, do we hang back and fire with psycannons, one and one for versitality, or incins?

I'd say stand back and shoot with 2 psycannons. Or, you may consider storm troopers. Then again, piling them all in a land raider (or crusader) and charging up can be effective too.
Tomoyasu, again I'm going to advise you to pick up some psycannons. The rest of your army is shooty, so i think that it will help you out a lot more.
Gutzdreg, the reason I'm asking about this is just beacuse I am cheap and hesitated to buy more models than I need to.
i say keep the incenerator with your normal squad and buy an extra for teleportattacks (as you are always allowed) then if you need more get a purgation squad of psycannons (4 of them)
I'm definitely going to have to oppose Gutzdreg here. I say the incinerators are better, it will round out your army against hoards of enemies. Gutzdreg is obviously trying to prevent you from countering his hoarde of orks effectively.
That Gutzdreg is a scheming scallywag if I've ever seen one, though I can wag my scally with much greater proficiency. I will defeat his so called hoard, despite his tricks
