    Unit Selection/Purchase

I have a reasonably large Black Templar army consisting of:

24 Tactical Marines (1 heavy bolter and 3 missile launchers)
    2 Landspeeders (multi-meltas)
1 Dreadnaught (twin linked las cannon/ Dreadnaught CCW)
    2 land Raiders
    2 Rhinos
1 Predator Annihilator (Heavy Bolter sponsons)
    1 Emperor’s Champion
    1 Commander
    1 Chaplain in Terminator armor
10 Terminator (2 Assault cannons, cyclone missile launcher, 2Chainfist, lightning claw)

I’m planning on buying 2 more tactical Squads and some heavy and special weapon Marines. After that I’m having trouble prioritizing what units to buy. I’m debating between buying a command Squad, Sword Brethren Squad, Assault Terminator Squad, or a Land Raider Crusader. Any advice would be greatly appreciated since I have little experience with those models.

    Ideas:
    chaplain with jump-pack
    assult squad
    land-sapeeder tornado

THose tend to do really well in a Blacr-Templar army. Of the units you listed: none; get your core ready first. You need more tactical marines (initiates) and other types of power-armored infantry (assult marines) before adding more specuial stuff...

Totally 100% agree with this. You should consider getting some neophytes with cc weapons to make some beefy crusader squads. Definately get a chaplain w/ jump pack and an assault squad (only use him as a reclusiarch to save pts tho)
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
    Only this, and nothing more."

    ooh

Well, thats big, although what would be cool and fluffy 9and quitwe useful) would be CC termies, with that termie chaplain, in a land raider, sooo, 15 or 20 power weap attacks that re-roll wounds and hits.

    my ideas

i wouldnt buy any sword brethren, they are almost identical to regular marines, though they can infiltrate. i agree with the others and buy a chap. with a jump pack. mine has saved my skin many times. it is also nice to have a techmarine handy if you decide to take a lot of machines in a battle (either with a jump pack or on foot with 4 tech servitors). a vindicator is great against horde armies or even strong armoured troops. with a strength 10 and AP 2 with large ord. blast, it is good against anything. :w00t: and a crusade squad with 10 initiates and 10 neophytes can pack a big punch if they charge.
