Hi, I've been playing 40k ultramarines for a few years now and have this friend that uses daemonhunters. He is a huge fan of Grey knight terminators and Grey knights. I just can't seem to penetrate that armour with their shrouding special rule. I was wondering what other space marine players do when confronted by a squad of near-invincible Terminators.
Any tips on the matter will be gladly appreciated.
plasma em to death.................................
failing that shove a chaplin lead assault squad up their ass, hopefully the linates of hate will be enough to give your chappy a few kills. Attempt this only after you pick of 1 or two models.
Libarian psychic powers are very fun to use as well, veil of time and storm of emperor's wrath really take the cake here.
"Heresy is like a garden weed, it won't stop feeding until you... BURN THE WHOLE DAMN GARDEN WITH A FLAMER, BURN IT, BURN IT TO HELL!!!!!" "Is there a wittle puppy in the garden? ITS A DAEMON! BURN IT!"
Same tactics as you'd use against any other SM army, with two caveats: First, they ARE better in CC that most other armies, so be careful - but with True Grit on power armored GK (but not GK Termies), they get the same number of attacks regardless of whether they charge or not. Second, Shrouding's average distance is actually pretty low. Don't try and peg them from 36" plus - they'll luck out a lot more often. Shoot them from <36". So basically, you want to hit them from mid-range with AS-removing weapons. Oh, and their vehicles don't have Shrouding, so pop any and every transport on the table.
