    Battleforce :yea or nae?

    Well is this true?

The Space Marine Battleforce is a great starting point for Space Marine players. Alternatively it can be used to expand an existing force. The Battleforce contains: a 10 man tactical squad, a 5 man command squad and a 5 man combat squad with Razorback transport.

I.e. is this good to buy for a guy wanting to add some SM to his WH?

Depends on what you do with it, the best thing about battleforces is that they give you more for less. Based on UK prices that £50 battleforce contains about £65s worth of stuff if you brought it seperatly. Now if you can use all of it then its all good and you can build a bigger army for cheaper. some battleforces are better then others but with this one I wouldnt get it more then once unless i wanted more transports (rhino/razor) or the extra bits from the command sprue. They only problem with this battleforce is that it does not have all the special and heavy weapons that buying tactical squads seperatly does. I think it has 1 missile launcher, 2 plasma, 2 melta, 2 flamer.

Only for adding to an army.reasons i'd buy would be the razorback and tacs. the command squad box in aus is bad value. (5 plastic models for 50!)

I disagree, you can build two full tac squads outa this box and have transport as well. IMO its a good value.

On a side note, the command squad box, the commander box and the assault marine boxes are great for Veteran Seargeants.
