Well, considering I want to play a pure gk army (namely for two reasons, they look cool, and fewer model pieces means cheaper spending), and that their only really nice heavy weapon shoota is the dreadnaught how do you guys protect them. Once ya lose them, its almost always game over against heavy tank armies. any methods other then using hull down or smoke launchers to protect them? I want to concentrate my gk on troops rather then heavy tanks or high toughness creatures. Any suggestions? by the way, i dont care what anyone says, hammerhand is awesome!
Hull Down is still the best way. See if you can take more than one dreadnought, however.
In a 1500 pt game or higher it may be worth taking a Land Raider as they can absorb a great deal of shots as will as giving out a fair bit of punishment.
