After thoroughly reading my Black Templar codex I realized something that seemed to be very broken. I noticed that a Black Templar Bike Squadron could take up to three power weapons for 10 points a piece. This combined with a Chaplain on a bike can easily be a second turn charge with ten re-roll able power weapon attacks. Am I exaggerating, or is this unit REALLY good?

that is really good but that is a whole lot of points and and and i want one to....
anyways that also depends on there being no terrain becasue if you didn't get first turn they could blow the helll out of the unit because it will have no cover if you want to get first turn charge
The only way that you would ever get a first turn charge is if you set up right on the edge of your deployment zone and your enemy actually moves towards you and doesn't shoot at the bikes. Very unlikely.
Still, T(5) with an inval save from turbo boosting can make a pretty survivable unit. If that does hit the lines that is a serious force to be recon with.

If someone helps you, or you just like what they say, rep them
Nope its not too good to be true mate...you can use this squad...
It is a really nice squad indeed and packs on hell of a punch but the main downpoint of taking the squad, especially with the chaplain is that it its real expensive.
Yes they are Toughness 5 and they can turbo boost, but dont think that they cant be taken care of. Rapid fire plasma and things like that really brings this squad down, and assault cannons really hurt it...
But if you are looking for a lightning fast shock assault troops then these guys are great to use. They may take a couple of games to get used to though and to use properly
Good luck and have fun with them...which you will, trust me on that!
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the extra toughness only work in CCW??

How come everybody else on this forum has 400 wins to 2 loses? I smell cheese.... and beef... sandwich!
What was Rogal Dorn doing when the Sanguinius and the Emporer got killed???
Woohoooo I killed the treeman!!! :)
I killed the Glade riders too!!!! :)
No the Toughness 5 counts for everything including shooting aswell, not just in combat.
The only thing it doesnt count for it Instant Death purposes. So if you are hit by a strength 8 weapon and suffer a wound you are instantly killed.
however, bikers just have one attack....that's quite crappy...they won't be as hard hitting as you would want them to be....
You can give bikers a second weapon which will give them an extra attack. No rule states they have to have one hand free to control the bike...Originally Posted by Kristofer
