The BaneBlade is one awsome tank. The things comparable in size to some buildings and has armor and guns to match. The United States 180 Abrham has an exceptionally high speed of 60mph for a tank, and enough armor to shrugg of mass ToPopper attacks. match that with the Abrhams advanced computer targeting systems and well trained crewmembers, its affectively able to fire all of its guns while moving at top spead. In a formal duel, what does the imperial guard think will win?
Baneblade hands down M1A1's absolutly rule these days but the baneblade is a a tank in the year 40000. the M1A1 could probably put a couple of holes in the Baneblade with SABOT's but the baneblade would nail it as soon as it got its guns ranged. Those SABOT's take a while to load which would be a major weak spot for it
Some of the Baneblades have gigantic Volcano cannons as a main gun. Just by knowing the name, I'm fairly sure we can know who would win in a straight up duel between a Baneblade and an Abrhams. If we're talking about a regular Baneblade, it still wins. Heck, even it's sponson guns could rip an Abrhams a new one. The Baneblade's armor is thick enough to shrug off anything an Abrhams could throw at it, and its weaponry is enough to throw it back at least tenfold. If you've ever read any WH40k novels about Baneblades in action, you'll know what I mean A guy fires a Krak missile at a Baneblade's viewing slit, scores a direct hit, and it does absolutely nothing. The tanks are nigh-impenetrable except for munitions fired from Titans, Other baneblades, or a massed tank rush. Man, I really want one for my IG army
Considering the baneblade is only as big as a shoe box and made of plastic, I'd put my money on the real life tank which actually can fire something.
Now, who do YOU think will win. Darth Vader vs Kermit the Frog. Is Spider Man stronger than Lord Solar Macharius? Can Toad out-jump a space marine with jump packs?
I also think Snoop Dogg would own Nork Dedogg...
to your last question
kermit would talk darth vader to a pulp
Lord Solar always wins cause he is a tactical geniues
and toad has no fuel so he would automatically win wenn the marine runs out of fuel
I was tempted not to comment on this one, but.....
1. Shiver, your spelling sucks; it's almost un-intelligable.
2.It's Abrams. The M1A1 or the M1A2 models are fairly modern, but crap. Mechanical failure, low fuel to travel range (.8 miles to the gallon of JP5 fuel. octane level of 120-ish) and being way too heavy all contribute to regular problems.
3.The main cannon, 122mm RODD SABOT round, is great, but likely comparable to a vanquisher cannon.
4.Reactive armour is not going to stop a las-cannon shot, let alone a 250mm super-battle cannon.
*Fart* "Keep talking sir, we'll find you!"
its nto even a fight, more a pointless waste of an ahbrams.
in 40k terms, the Ahbrams propable has summin like armour 11 all round, no special movement rules and a main gun that is the equivalent of a krak or frag missile depending on weather you use sabot or not.
compare a baneblade to those stats and judge then.
turn one- abrams fire krak missile and in an increadible lucky shot, destroys one whole mass point.
the baneblade then emptys 2 lascannon 3 twin linked heavy bolters and a mega battle cannon in to it and drives over the smoking crater.
I would be curious to see if depleted uranium rounds (APFSDSDU) could penetrate Baneblade armour. On the other way baneblade weapons can vaporize the Abrams, if they catch it, but the Abrams with his stabilized gun can shoot and move at the same time ( move 6" ,shoot ,move other 6" out of gun sight ).
Face it, imperial tanks are obsolete WWII designs.
yeah, thats kind of what I ment. The abram M1a1 may have a pretty low efficiency, like you have to measure gallons per mile instead of the other way around, but I dont think there is a modern tank that doesn't. An abram can move at its top spead, Im told by some its 80mph and others its only 60mph if some one knows please post here in this thread, and it can still fire every gun, including its main gun with the depleated uranium rounds. Modern tanks like the abram and the T90 are really well built like that. In pure enginuity, the tanks like the T90 and the Abram win. You shouldn't discount the fact that an abram can (in game terms) move like 24" and still fire every last gun mounted on it.
Not to say that 9ft thick armor made from space age materials that we haven't even invented doesn't have a chance either, or that Lascannons and other guns that can destroy 15 abrams in one shot (if you lined 15 in a row, and the abrams weren't moving some of those guns just might go all the way through all of the tanks) is a bad thing. The BaneBlade may not have to move to kill an Abram, but it does atleast have to worry about its supre weapons only glancing because of fast vehicle rules. Im not saying that either tank is bad, but even GW has said in many of the books they release that tanks are less advanced than tanks we have today. I didn't want to compair an Abram or a T90 to something that didn't have a chance like a space marines Prediter ( I know I cant spell), or an Imperial guard Lemun Russ. The real question of a match up like this is, What wins: Spead and mobility, or Raw brute Strength.
